Releasing on January 18, 2019 is Why Cheat India, the movie based on loopholes in the Indian education system. He plays the role of a professor Rakesh Singh who helps aspiring medical and engineering students pass their exams, by unfair means. The movie is directed by Soumik Sen.
Emraan Hashmi plays engineer-turned- detective Surykant Bhande Patil who has helped solve 120 child-kidnappings for free. After the police failed to locate his son, Patil took it upon himself to find his kidnapped son, but it was too late. Then he decided to take it upon himself to help the police, he started a detective agency called ‘Spy Sanket’, named after his son, to reunite children with their parents. Father’s Day definitely sounds like an interesting script and we would love to see Emraan nail this one.
Emraan will play yet another interesting role of a double spy working for both India and Pakistan in Captain Nawab. Trouble brews in when the two sides come to know of his betrayal,.
Apart from feature films, Emraan Hashmi is also playing the role of a detective Kabir Anand in ‘The Bard of Blood’ a novel by Bilal Siddiqui converted into a Netflix show. The 8-episode series is co-produced by Shah Rukh Khan.
