Lulia Vântur is a Romanian actress, TV presenter, and model who is best known as being the co-host of the longest running TV show in Romania, i.e., ‘Dancing’ with Stefan Banica Jr. The multi-award winning 5’8” tall beauty was a news presenter for 10 years at PRO TV, including weekends and prime time news presenter from 2006.
Lulia was currently in the news for her relationship with Indian film superstar Salman Khan.
Early Life and Career
Vantur was born on 24th July 1980 into a modest intellectual family in Lasi, Romania. She studied at the Faculty of Law but began pursuing a career in modelling at age 15. By age 17, she became a model instructor and also attended varied national fashion festivals where she won many awards for the ‘best mannequin model.’
Lulia then joined a local TV station called Europe Nova as a television magazine show presenter. Later, she worked at BIT IAŞI as a casting station TV newsreader for a period of 2 years. She then moved to Bucharest after she was hired by PRO TV. There she worked as a correspondent, reporter, producer, editor, and news presenter. Lulia has stated that her time at PRO TV laid the foundations of her career and lifted it up. Since 2006, she has been the co-host of Dancing alongside Stefan Banica Jr., a show based on the internationally popular TV show ‘Dancing with the stars.’
Lulia acted in Guy Moshe-directed American movie ‘Bunraku’ in 2008, alongside Woody Harrelson and Demi Moore, etc. In 2011, she made her theater acting debut in the Horatiu-directed ‘Lautrec’ brothel song at the Metropolis theatre. It was also showcased at Sibiu’s International Theatre Festival. In 2014, she appeared in an item song featured in the Atul Agnihotri-directed Bollywood film ‘O Teri.’ Vantur has also featured as an occasional presenter and as a guest on radio, especially on PRO FM’s morning show.
