Meet Pihu Sand – The young star of Fanney Khan

Pihu Sand is an Indian movie actress. She will make her acting debut in the film Fanney Khan. The film stars Anil Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan, and Rajkumar Rao.

Early Life and Education

Pihu was born on 18 December 1998 in Mumbai. Her father is well known film and television actor Paritosh Sand and her mother is stage actor Sapna Sand.

Pihu went to VIBGYOR High School. She is currently enrolled at Mithibai College in Mumbai for her graduation studies.

Pihu grew up in a filmy environment surrounded by industry folks. She watched a lot of movies while growing up and was fascinated by the big screen. Hence, she wanted to become a film actress.

Career

Even though Pihu had connections in Bollywood, she worked hard to get an acting job. She gave several auditions, including some to Mukesh Chhabra, the well known casting director. Her hard work paid off when she got a call from Chhabra’s office. Pihu never expected that she would get one of the leading parts in a big movie as her debut acting job, but was happy and thankful. She credits her hard work and the journey she took for the lucky break.

Fanney Khan is a musical drama-comedy about the relationship between a father and her daughter. It tells the story about a father helping her daughter realize her dreams and aspirations of becoming a famous singer, whilst helping her battle body shaming from all quarters. Pihu plays the role of the daughter Lata Sharma, while Anil Kapoor and Divya Dutta portray the roles of her parents. Aishwarya Rai is a renowned singer and Rajkumar Rao plays her love interest.

The film is directed by debut director Atul Manjerekar. It is produced by T-Series, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra Pictures, and Anil Kapoor Films & Communications Network.

  • Sand is currently not dating anyone.
  • She is 5’ 2” tall
  • Even though Pihu was overweight, she had to gain an additional 20 kilos for her role in Fanney Khan. She has stated that she was happy to put on the weight after being inspired by Bhumi Pednekar, her favorite actress, who had similarly gained weight for ‘Dum Laga ke Haisha’
