Ragini Khanna is an Indian TV and film actress, model, and a TV host. She is popular for her roles as ‘Suhana’ in the serial ‘Sasural Genda Phool’ and as ‘Bharti’ in the show ‘Bhaskar Bharti.’
Career
Ragini began her career as ‘Ragini Sharma’ in the serial ‘Radhaa Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi’ which aired on NDTV Imagine and later starred in the romance-comedy ‘Bhaskar Bharti.’ She achieved fame and prominence after playing the role of ‘Suhana Kashyap’ in the soap’ Sasural Genda Phool.’ It is rumored that she will work alongside Hussain Kuwajerwala and Satish Shah in a serial titled ‘Hats Off’ which will air on Star Plus.
Khanna has participated in varied reality shows like Zee TV’s ‘Star Ya Rockstar’ and season 4 of ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ as well as hosted shows like ‘India’s Best Dramebaaz,’ etc.
In 2011, Ragini made her Bollywood acting debut with the Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra directed comedy movie ‘Teen Thay Bhai.’ She also acted in ‘Bhaji in Problem’ a Punjabi movie. She will soon be seen opposite actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui in ‘Ghoomketu’ a comedy movie directed by Pushpendra Mishra as well as in another movie titled ‘Gurgaon.’
Ragini has done many print advertisements and TV commercials for varied brands such as Godrej, Amul Cool Café, etc. She has worked in ad campaigns like ‘My Roohafza story’ for Hamdard; ‘Kurkure Spend Time with Family’ for Frito-Lay India; and ‘Mix n Drink’ for Catch foods. Khanna is the brand ambassador of an organization called ‘Beauty with Astrology’ as well as its early morning wellness and spiritual radio 92.7 BIG FM show called ‘Seher.’ Kamini Khanna, her mother, is the founder of this organization.
Personal Life and Trivia
- Ragini was born on 9th December 1984. Her brother Amit Khanna is an actor and actor Govinda is her uncle. Ragini is a trained singer and initially wanted to be a singer. She also has a cousin in the form of famous TV comedian Krushna Abhishek.
- Khanna attended the R. N. Shah High School and later got a post graduate Masters degree from the University of Mumbai.
- It is rumored that Ragini is in a relationship with Jesal Arya, a businessman. This has however neither been confirmed nor denied by her.
