Saif Ali Khan did not really have a big commercial hit since Race 2 (2013). With flops like Humshakals, Happy Ending, Rangoon, Chef, Kalaakandi; nothing he did seemed to go right, when he reinvented himself in the web series ‘Sacred Games’ (2018). With Sacred Games, Saif Ali Khan chose a different road to success. His role as a troubled cop got him a lot of praise, so much that the second season on Netflix is eagerly awaited. In 2018 Khan showed signs of revivals in the movie front with the average hit ‘Baazar.

Saif Ali Khan will be seen in the role of a ‘Sadhu’ who is out for revenge. He plays the role of a Naga Sadhu in Navdeep Singh’s movie ‘Hunter’. Saif Ali Khan says, “It’s my most ambitious project till date. I don’t think I have been part of a film that has been made on this scale. It’s about a fight between two brothers and my character, who’s almost like an animal, fights for his rights.” The film is based in Rajasthan.
Saif Ali Khan is also producing and acting in a movie called ‘Jawani Diwani’. This is the story of a man in his 40s who refuses to grow up and act his age. The movie is produced under Black Knight Films, the new production banner of Khan. Pooja Bedi’s daughter Alia Furniturewala has been roped in to play Saif’s daughter in the film.
Saif Ali Khan also plays Udhyaban Rathod, the manipulative Rajput general of Aurangzeb, in Ajay Devgan-starrer ‘Taanaji’. The movie is set for a worldwide release on November 22, 2019.
