Sriti Jha is an Indian model and TV actress currently appearing as the protagonist ‘Pragya’ in the serial ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ telecast on Zee TV.
Career
Jha began her acting career as ‘Malini Sharma’ in the TV series ‘Dhoom Machaao Dhoom’ that aired on Disney Channel. The 5’5″ tall beauty then worked in many other TV serials like Jiya Jale, Shaurya Aur Suhani, Jyoti, Rakt Sambandh, Balika Vadhu, and Dil Se Di Dua… Saubhagyavati Bhava.
Sriti currently appears as Pragya opposite Abhi enacted by Shabbir Ahluwalia, in the popular television drama Kumkum Bhagya. The serial is a great love story between her and Abhi. Her character Pragya is a sincere and hardworking elder sister who is committed towards the well-being of her family. The chemistry between Shabbir and Sriti is sparkling and loved by the viewers. In fact, they even received a Best Jodi award recently. In 2015, Jha got the Indian Telly Awards’ Best Actress in a Lead Role trophy.

Personal Life and Trivia
- Sriti was born on 26 February 1986 in Begusarai, Bihar. She initially attended the Modern Indian School of Katmandu and later moved to Delhi’s Laxman Public School to finish her higher school studies. She then got her college degree from Sri Venkateswara College.
- Sriti was rumored to be dating co-actors Kunal Karan Kapoor and Vikrant Massey at different times of her life. But Jha, Massey, and Kapoor all have denied these rumors.
Besides acting, Jha likes reading books and watching movies, especially old movies of the sixties and comedy movies. She is a huge fan of Charlie Chaplin’s work and her favorite movie is Pyaasa. Sriti does not watch action films, but prefers watching movies that are coming of age or based on the journey of different humans
