Here are the upcoming movies of John Abraham in 2019 and 2020
First up is Batla House – in John Abraham’s words, it is is probably the most contentious story in North India after Babri Masjid. Abraham plays the role of DCP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav The movie is based on Batla House Encounter Case of September 2008. The movie also co-stars Mrunal Thakur, Ravi Kishen, Mouni Roy and Nora Fatehi. Batla House releases on August 15, 2019. The director is Nikhil Advani, who produced his 2018 hit ‘Satyameva Jayate’.
John will also star in RAW (Romeo Akbar Walter), which is also an intense drama. John Abraham has called the script, the most compelling one, he has read so far. The release date of the movie is yet to be announced but it will be either in 2019 or 2020. John Abraham starts shooting for the movie in June 2019 and is known to sport 8 different looks in the film, right from that of a 26 year old man to an 85 year old one.
To balance all the intense subjects, John Abraham will be seen in a comic caper called Pagalpanti, which co-stars Ileana D’Cruz, Anil Kapoor and Arshad Warsi. PagalPanti is directed by Anees Bazmee, and is set to release either in 2019 or 2020.
John Abraham will also produce and star as the Mohun Bagan captain Indian footballer Sibdas Bhaduri, who captained Mohun Bagan in the historic 1911 IFA Shield final when they defeated the East Yorkshire Regiment to become the first Asian team to win the competition. Nikhil Advani will direct 1911, which narrates the iconic even in India’s sporting history. The film is an ambitious project and they are still looking for a formidable list of actors who can also play football. 1911 will be co-produced by John Abraham Entertainment, Nikhil Advani’s Emmay Entertainment and T-Series. Abraham maintains that the audience should be convinced that you can play football and not act as one.
John Abraham will be also seen in Officer Khan, a movie directed by Renzil D’Silva. The movie will go on floors in June 2019. According to him, unlike biopics on movie stars and sports stars, this is a biopic on the common man.
