Suzanne Bernert is an actress of German origin who mainly works in Indian TV and Indian films of varied languages.
Suzanne will essay the role of Congress President Sonia Gandhi in the upcoming Bollywood film ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’. Based on the book of the same name written by Sanjaya Baru, the movie stars Anupam Kher in the main lead as Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Akshaye Khanna as Sanjaya Baru. The film is directed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte and produced by Bohra Bros and Pen India Limited. The trailer of the film was launched on 27th December 2018. The movie is scheduled to hit the theaters on 11th January 2019.

Early Life
Suzanne was born on 26 September 1982 in Detmold, Germany. Her father’s name is Michael and her mother’s name is Monika. They reside in Lindau, Germany.
Suzanne finished her school and college in Germany. She had taken a 3-year acting course in Berlin under the tutelage of Heidelotte Diehl when she was 19 years old. She has also received training in ballet dancing.
Bernert moved to Mumbai, India in 2005.
Career
- In 2003, Bernert was cast in the role of the protagonist in the movie ‘Destined Hearts.’ The movie was directed by Anant Duseja and was filmed fully in Dubai, UAE. The movie has not been released as of December 2018.
- After moving to Mumbai, Bernert worked in numerous TV dramas and series, including in Marathi and Bengali serials.
- Suzanne has acted in movies such as Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd., No Problem, and Ramdhanu – The Rainbow.
- Her acting credits on TV include roles in the popular Kasautii Zindagii Kay, historical drama Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat on Colors TV, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai on Star Plus, and in political drama 7 RCR as Sonia Gandhi.

- Bernert married Indian actor Akhil Mishra on 3rd February 2009 in a civil court. They had a traditional wedding ceremony a few years later on 30th September 2011. Mishra is most famous for his role as the librarian in the film ‘3 Idiots’. Suzanne had worked with Mishra on TV show Mera Dil Dewaana on DD and the film Kram.
