Kiara Advani made her acting debut just a few years ago in 2014 with the movie Fugly. She then had a big hit in 2016’s M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story. The last year, i.e., 2018, was a breakthrough year for her. She was paired opposite Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu in the megahit film ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’ and got critical acclaim for her role in the Netflix film Lust Stories.
Bharat Ane Nenu was one of the biggest Telugu hit film of 2018. It made over INR 200 crores and is third in the list of highest grossing Telugu movies behind the Bahubali films. Advani won the Best Find of Year Award at the Zee Cine Awards Telugu for her role in the movie. Kiara also received a lot of praise for her realistic portrayal of female sexuality in ‘Lust Stories’ on Netflix.
The future looks as bright for Advani as 2018 was for her. She will be starring opposite heartthrob Ram Charan in the Telugu flick Vinaya Vidheya Rama. The movie will release on January 11, 2019.
On the Hindi/Bollywood movies front, Kiara is slated to make a special appearance in a song in the Karan Johar produced mega-project Kalank. Shooting for the film began in April 2018 and the film will release on 19th April 2019. She will also star opposite Shahid Kapoor in ‘Kabir Singh’ which is a remake of the 2017 Telugu hit movie ‘Arjun Reddy’. Kabir Singh will hit the theaters on 21st June 2019.
Advani has also committed herself to play one of the leads in the romantic comedy ‘Good News’. The film also stars Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Diljit Dosanjh. The film releases July 19, 2019.
Kiara Advani also has a small role as John Abraham’s wife in ‘Batla House’ that releases on August 15, 2019.
It is also rumored that Advani will be paired opposite south dancing-action superstar Allu Arvind in an untitled Telugu film. The film will be directed by Trivikram Srinivas and shooting is supposed to begin in the latter half of Jan 2019.
