Though Sonakshi Sinha has been consistently working in films, she has not been able to deliver a hit for ages. She even tried to do play author-backed roles in movies like Noor and Akira in 2016. But the movies didn’t work at the box office. In 2019, Sonakshi has an interesting line-up of films which are as follows –
She will be seen doing a special appearance in the song ‘Munda’ in the movie Total Dhamaal, that releases on February 22, 2019.
Sonakshi will be a part of the Dharma productions’ ‘Kalank – this period film set in the 40s has a multi-star cast which includes Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Kiara Advani and Kriti Sanon. Sonakshi Sinha plays the role of Rupali Awasthi, a poet. The movie releases on April 19, 2019.
‘Mission Mangal’, the Akshay Kumar – movie based on India’s Mars Mission co-stars Sonakshi along with Vidya Balan, Kriti Kulhari, Taapsee Pannu . Mission Mangal releases on August 15, 2019.
Sonakshi Sinha has also given her nod to the Hindi remake of ‘Aapla Manus’ that starred Nana Patekar in the original Marathi movie. The Hindi version will be directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, and release in 2020.
Sonakshi will reprise the character of Rajjo in Dabangg 3, which releases on May 29. 2020. The directorial reins will be handed to Prabhudeva, while the original roles of Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan and Sonakshi Sinha will remain the same
