Bollywood’s rock-star actor Sanjay Dutt (Sanjay Dathh) is known as the ‘king of comebacks’. He has seen it all, the highs of dizzy stardom and dismal lows, when he was imprisoned for illegal possession of weapons. He is an actor par excellence, and his star power is unparalleled.
In the movie, Ranbir Kapoor who plays Sanjay Dutt, says that he has 308 girlfriends. We are not sure about the number but there is no denying that he was a chick-manget. One of the earliest Bollywood stars to build an impressive physique, apart from his good looks. Govinda once said in an interview during ‘Haseena Maan Jayegi’, that whenever the two would hit the pubs, girls would hit on Dutt.
Sanjay Dutt’s bad boy aura attracted women. In fact in the book, ‘ ‘Sanjay Dutt: The Crazy Untold Story of Bollywood’s Bad Boy’. Dutt says that the formula to attract girls to let women feel like that you are vulnerable and evoke their material instincts!
Sanjay Dutt’s first official girlfriend was Tina Munim. He has never made bones about the fact that he has been a possessive lover and he wanted all the women that he was linked with to not work for anyone post marriage. During his courtship with Tina, he was embroiled in drug use and she had a tough tme dealing with his erratic behavior. She had even flown with him to New York for treatment, but Dutt didn’ seem to change his habits. Finally, she gave up on him and ended up falling in love with Rajesh Khanna. Tina eventually married Anil Ambani, but it is said that during the time, when Tina was involved with Dutt, he would get angry at any rumors that would link her with her co-star. He had even gone to bash up Rishi Kapoor, when there was news that there was something brewing up between him and Tina Munim. Sanjay Dutt was also known to be in a relationship with Rati Agnihotri and Kimi Katkar. In fact, the book says that there were times when he was involved romantically with 3 girls at one time! Sanjay Dutt was also known to involved with senior actress Rekha, while filming ‘Zameen Aasmaan’. It was rumored that the two had eloped, which he denied.
Dutt later fell in love with Richa Dutt, from whom she had a daughter called Trishala. But when she developed brain tumor and had to be admitted in the US, Dutt got closed to Madhuri Dixit. In fact, Sanjay was so crazy about Madhuri Dixit that he would follow her everywhere, telling her that he loved her.
Madhuri also reciprocated and when it looked like that there were going to marry, he was involved in the case of illegal posession of arms. Madhuri dropped him like hot potato and vehemently denied that she had nothing going on with him , except for friendship.
When he was serving prisontime, Sanjay Dutt fell in love with socialites and model Rhea Pillai. When it looked like the two would go down the altar, Dutt had an affair with Nadia Durrani, a Pakistani model. The relationship between Dutt and Pillai went kaput and while he was carrying on with Nadia, Dutt got attracted to Dilnawaz Sheikh/Manyata, whom he met in Goa. Sanjay Dutt fell that he had finally met an ideal woman who was more interested in preparing food for him, rather than shopping with his credit cards. The couple who married in 2008, had twins in 2010, Iqra and Sharaan.
