Sara Khan is an Indian film and TV actress currently playing the role of ‘Pavitra’ in the serial ‘Bhagyalakshmi’ which airs on &TV.
Career
Khan began her career after being crowned as Miss Madhya Pradesh/Miss Bhopal in 2007. She subsequently hosted shows on ETV and DD Madhya Pradesh. Her acting debut came with the drama ‘Sapna Babul Ka…Bidaai’ where she played the character of ‘Sadhna.’ The show was very popular and helped her rise to prominence as an actress. She has since then worked in varied other serials and shows such as Ram Milaayi Jodi, Comedy Nights Bachao, Sasural Simar Ka, and Channel V’s ‘The Serial.’
Some of the movies that Sara acted in include Braj Bhushan directed romantic suspense thriller ‘Mid-summer Midnight Mumbai’ or M3 and the Vidya Balan, Emraan Hashmi starrer “Hamari Adhuri Kahaani.”
Personal Life and Trivia
- Sara was born on 6th August 1989 in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India. Her mother is a boutique owner while her father is a doctor. Khan finished her schooling in Bhopal. However, she did her graduation via the University of Mumbai.
- Sara got married to actor Ali Merchant inside the ‘Bigg Boss’ house on Nov 10 2010 in an Islamic wedding ceremony. She was a contestant on the reality TV show which airs on Colors TV. The couple however got divorced a few months later after the show ended. Merchant has stated that he had married Khan for publicity and that it was the biggest mistake ever made by him in his lifetime.
- After the divorce, Sara started dating model-actor Paras Chhabra. But the couple broke off due to some personal problems.
- Currently, Khan is in a relationship with actor, singer, and businessman Rishabh Tandon. Sara has stated that they are very much in love and that theirs is a strong relationship.
