Early Life and Family Background
Kriti was born in New Delhi on 27thJuly 1990 into a well-educated and well to do family. Her mother Geeta Sanon works as an associate professor at Delhi University while her father Rahul Sanon is a CA or Chartered Accountant. She has a younger sister, Nupur Sanon.
Sanon attended the Delhi Public School at R. K. Puram in Delhi. She then enrolled at the Jaypee Institute of Information Technology in Noida and graduated with a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics. Her parents put great emphasis in education and hence Kriti completed her studies before pursuing a career in modelling and acting. Kriti loves dancing and writing poetries in her spare time. She is a trained Kathak dancer too.

It is rumored that Sanon is dating model Gaurav Arora whom she knew from her days as model. Kriti has however rubbished the rumors and stated that the two of them are just friends and nothing more than that. She also clarified that is currently single and not in any relationship.
Career
After completing her education, Kriti dove headlong into modelling. She was regarded by many as a distinguished fresh and young face. A print shoot for the brand ‘Reliance Trends’ was her first modelling assignment. She subsequently featured in advertisements for popular products like Himalaya Face Wash and Close UP. She even walked the ramp for many well-known designers at the 2010 Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week.
In 2014, Kriti starred opposite Mahesh in the Telugu psychological thriller1: Nenokkadine directed by Sukumar. The same year she was paired with Tiger Shroff in his debut movie ‘Heropanti.’ The movie was met with mixed reviews but became a success at the box office. Kriti won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut for her role in the film.
