Mahira Khan is a popular Pakistani actress and former VJ. She is best known for playing the character of “ Khirad” in the television show “ Humsafar”. She is soon going to enter Bollywood with the movie ‘Raees’ opposite Shah Rukh Khan.
Early Life and Background
Mahira Khan was born on 21st December 1982 in Karachi, Pakistan. She did her schooling from Foundation Public School. Thereafter, at the age of 17, she enrolled to University of Southern California to pursue higher studies but left the university without completing her degree.
Career
Mahira started her career as a VJ at the age 16. She served as a video jockey in MTV Pakistans’ “ Most Wanted” and Aag TV’s “ Weekends with Mahira”. In the year 2011, she entered the movie world with the film,” Bol”. She has acted in several successful movies like “Bin Roye”,”Manto”, “Ho Mann Jahan” etc. Apart from this, she has been the part of some of the most popular television shows of Pakistan namely “ Humsafar”, “Neeyat”, “ Sadqay Tumhare” and Shehr-e Zaat”. She has also hosted a show called “TUC The Lighter Side of Life”. She is soon going to debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the movie Raes. In the year 2015, she was placed in the 10th position in the Eastern Eye poll for “Sexiest Asian Women” and the hottest woman in Pakistan for the same year.
